Benefits of a Faber Builders Warranty

When purchasing a home in Rochester, the difference between a home builder warranty, a regular home warranty and home insurance is significant. All warranties serve different purposes, and understanding the coverage options between them can save you time, money and a headache! Reading the fine print on all home paperwork is important, but being educated on the benefits of having a home warranty from a builder and how it can help to reduce costs is essential.

To ensure you have the right protection and to help you understand it, we've laid out our home warranty advantages:

Home Warranty vs Homeowner’s Insurance

Homeowners insurance generally covers damage due to incidents such as theft, vandalism, fire, hurricanes, or other catastrophic situations. The policy typically covers property damage, loss or damage of personal property (possessions in your home), as well as liability against accidents or injuries on your property.

A home warranty, on the other hand, is a service contract that helps protect you against the cost of unexpected repairs or malfunctions of components in your home, or repairs to the structure itself.

Faber Builders Warranty

You’ve made a big investment, and the included warranty protection from Faber Builders means you can enjoy your new home rather than worrying about the unexpected. For one year from the date you close on your new home, Faber Builders also provides a basic one-year warranty against material defects. We employ a full-time Warranty and Service department that is available to address any questions or concerns you may have as a Faber homeowner. We also offer a two-year major systems coverage that covers plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling and ventilation systems. As added protection, we offer a six-year major structural defect coverage that ensures your new home will be free from material defects that are also major structural defects.

What Might Not Be Covered

Certain items and events are not covered in traditional service agreements. For specific coverage details, it’s important to closely review the service agreement prior to submitting a service request. Events that would traditionally be covered by homeowner’s insurance, such as storm damage or vandalism, will not be covered under a service agreement. Similarly, damage to a home system or appliance that is caused specifically by the homeowner through malice or lack of maintenance is not covered under a home warranty service agreement.

The Benefits of a Home Warranty

For a homeowner who doesn’t have an emergency fund established or for one who values the protection of their finances, a home warranty is a safe-haven. In new home construction, it’s also a statement that the builder stands behind the quality of their work and will take responsibility for fixing any issues that arise during the pre-determined amount of time. That is why Faber Builders provides you with the peace of mind of an established warranty.

Visit the Faber Builders website or ask a Faber team member for details on all the great options available to you as a new Faber homeowner. With a wide variety of home sizes, layouts, locations and quality warranty protection, it’s easy to fall in love with a Faber home – and enjoy it for years to come!
