Step One

Step Two
Pre-qualify for a loan.

Step Three
Create your dream home wish list.
Once you know the budget, create a wish list for your home. Some requirements you might consider are:

• Location (for tax purposes, school districts, and proximity to places of employment, shopping, recreation, etc.)
• Lot acreage
• Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
• Square footage
• Entertainment space
• Storage requirements
• Home efficiencies
• Neighborhood amenities
Step Four
Plan a visit.

Once you decide on a location, be sure to visit the area on different days of the week and at different times of the day to get a feel for the neighborhood, traffic, local stores, to ensure it will fit with your lifestyle.
