Outdoor Activities to Enjoy Near Queens Park

With the weather getting warmer and summer right around the corner, it’s time to get outside and soak up the sun! Queens Park is a quiet community that offers luxury and convenience to each of its homeowners, but another aspect that makes this community desirable is its access to so many great parks and outdoor activities!

Breese Park is within walking distance of Queens Park. Less than a mile away, this park has several picnic tables, rare flowers that only bloom for a couple of weeks (such as bluebell and trillium), and a nature trail that meanders along the Genesee River.

There are also several parks that are a short car ride away! Veterans Memorial, Martin Road, and Lookup Park are all within 10-12 minutes of Queens Park. Veterans Memorial is home to the Henrietta Recreation Center, several softball and soccer fields, Roberts and Bushman Cabins, and so many incredible amenities. With enough seating for 50-100 people, Veterans Memorial Park is the perfect place for a family reunion or organization retreat!

Need a break from a chaotic summer? Rent one of the Roberts and Busman cabins for yourself and your loved ones for a vacation without having to travel too far from home. These heated cabins are equipped with appliances and are perfect for any family gathering.

Love to golf? Lookup Park offers a 9-hole golf course and driving range operated by the Henrietta Foundation. It also has a self-monitored dog park that is part of the Monroe County Dog Park system. For a small annual fee, you can have access to the dog parks at Lookup Park, Ellison Park, and Greece Canal Park.

There’s never a dull moment in Henrietta. For residents, Tinker Nature Park offers a community garden to grow fresh produce. Each 4’ x 12’ plot will be available for an annual price. Indoor and outdoor planting is available, and the option to transplant your plants back to your home is available. Several vegetables that do well in this community garden include broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, peppers, and a multitude of others!

Being a resident at Queens Park opens up several opportunities for you and your family. Summer goes by quick, but we want you to enjoy every bit of it! To learn more about the Queens Park community and our Henrietta new homes, call 585-298-9393.
